Both teams, The Chicago White Sox and The Cincinati Reds, had high hopes to win the 1919 World Series. But the hopes for one team of those two teams were demolished when eight White Sox players desided to take benifits. And, in exchange they would need to throw the World Series to receive their benefits. But, these eight players were not aware of what their fate was to be within baseball in the upcoming years.
